Who I am and what you can expect.
About
Background and Approach
As a small farm town Indiana native I understand the challenge of working with limited resources. Like many of the people in Ward 4, I know what it is like to live paycheck to paycheck.
Having been raised on a farm, I am no stranger to long workdays and putting in extra effort. All too often, we are asked to sacrifice for the "greater good". I believe it is well past time that we realize the fruit of our sacrifices. As your city councilman I will put Ward 4 families 1st.
When it comes to budget decisions, we are forced to make painful cuts without the same safety nets our elected officials have. We should expect our elected officials to do the same. Ward 4 has been on the back burner for far too long. Our streets & sidewalks are crumbling, Our neighborhoods are ignored until preventable tragedies occur, but we pay the same taxes as the rest of the city. There's a clear division between Ward 4 and the rest of Red Wing that must be rectified.
As your city councilman I will make Ward 4 my #1 priority.

Agenda
Where will my focus be?
Community Revitalization
Community Engagement
Proposing projects to revitalize Ward 4 and clean up our neighborhoods.
Providing open communication and being present for the community
Realistic Community Events
Equal Representation
Supporting & Coordinating events for the community within Ward 4. Community Movie nights within walking distance of a majority of Ward 4 (i.e. Covill Family Center, the "Community Garden" space, etc).
No one should feel their elected officials are working against them. As Ward 4 councilman I will be your voice against disenfranchisement and biased practices. If it's concerning to you, it's concerning to me.
My Philosophy
Working together means no one feels left out. We all may not agree, but we can find an acceptable common ground through conversation and flexability.
